I guess the only things left to cheer for this year is player's personal accomplishments. will Maddux get 15 wins and will DLee win the batting title?

The Cubs have to play Murton, Cedeno, and the young pitchers as much as possible. Give them a chance and see if they are part of your plans for next year.

I think it will be Prior, Maddux, Zambrano, AJ Burnett, and Rusch

West Side Grounds

Last time the Cubs won the World Series in 1908 was in the West Side Grounds

In other words, they have never won at Wrigley Field. It is cursed.

Todd Walker

I am glad they didn't trade him. I hope he is back with the team next year. He seems like such a cool guy.

I think playoffs are out of reach

Losing 2 out of 3 to the Rockies could have been the last nail in the playoffs coffin.

Cardinals suck.

If the Cubs suck and the Cubs beat the Cards 3 out of 4 then the Cardinals must royally suck.

Cubs are going down fast.

This is sad. But this is what being a Cubs fan is all about. September is around the corner and we are going to be in the bleachers having fun cheering on a team not going to the playoffs. Some things change, some things stay the same.
